COVID-19 Update

As we move forward during this time of urgency, we will be making full use of our parish website under the tab “Parish Blog and Announcements.”  You can subscribe to it for updates about parish activities, as we follow the guidance of the Archdiocese, local government, and the Centers for Disease Control.

If you are sick, you are dispensed from the obligation of Sunday Mass.  We ask that those who are sick please stay home.  Archbishop Rodi has asked that we not take Holy Communion on the tongue, but only in the hand.   In an abundance of caution, we will not be offering Communion under both kinds.  During the sign of peace, please feel free to use a hand wave or even an elbow bump.

Starting next weekend, we will begin undertaking a few practices in order to shorten Mass times, while still maintaining the dignity of the Mass, with reverence for the Holy Eucharist.

Public and Archdiocesan schools will be dismissed early Wednesday.  Schools will remain closed for a period of time.  Online learning will be utilized.

We will continue to pray for all affected by the COVID-19 Virus.  If you need assistance during this time, please let us know.

We are still planning on the St. Patrick’s Day celebration.  Check the website for details.  Fr. Dan reminds us, “Jesus and Germs are everywhere so wash your hands and say your prayers.  During this time let us pray for courage.”
